Speech and Language Screenings
FREE screenings are offered to determine whether a child's speech and language are developing age appropriately or if further evaluation is warranted. Screenings, which are generally 10-15 minutes in length, can take the form of an office visit or a telephone interview with a parent or guardian.
Speech and Language Evaluations
Formal speech and language evaluations are offered to determine a child's current functioning in the areas of oral-motor development, articulation, fluency, pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, and reading readiness. Assessments include a parent or guardian interview, clinical observation, standardized testing, and recommendations.
Speech and Language Therapy
Therapy can take place at a child's home, day care, school, or at the therapy office in Northwest Philadelphia. Sessions are 30-60 minutes in length, depending on a child's age.
